Narrator Richard Thomas adds to the suspense as he takes on the character of Theo Boone in the third book in John Grisham's series for young adults. A balance of excitement and character-driven vocal subtleties keeps the listener invested in Theo's investigation as he tries to clear his name after being set up to take the fall for a robbery. Thomas ramps up the tension as clues are revealed and captures the sometimes sarcastic tone of Theo's personality. Using his own expertise in law and calling on help from his Uncle Ike, a lawyer, Theo tries desperately to discover who is trying to frame him for a crime he didn't commit.
